July 2024 — Just delivered three custom batches of soap and some lip balms to the Pearmund Cellars Farmstore. Soaps were made using Pearmund’s wines: Cabernet Franc, Rosé and Viognier. Incorporated shea butter, grapeseed, olive, rice bran, castor and coconut and oils (super creamy lather!) into the soaps. Lip balms provide long-lasting moisture to lips thanks to cocoa butter, grapeseed oil, vitamin E and beeswax. If you’re in northern Virginia, do yourself a favor and check out Pearmund’s wines via the tasting room (21 and older) or the farmstore & wine bar (pet and family friendly): Pearmund Cellars
May 2024 — As mentioned below from 2019, May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month. According to the CDC, the number of tickborne diseases has more than doubled in the past two decades. As someone who deals with Lyme Disease, I find that statistic alarming. I launched the “Lyme Bytes” soap bars to raise awareness and to raise some funds to help with education and advocacy; Simplí will donate 50% of every “Lyme Bytes” bar sold to the Lyme Disease Association. (NOTE: The organization no longer exists; I am looking for another Lyme nonprofit.)
Nov 2023 | Simplí is taking part in two holiday market events!
• Nov. 30—The Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm, in Gainesville, is hosting its Ladies Night from 5-10 pm. Ticket price includes a drink or flight. Vendors, DJ, food truck and raffle prizes.
• Dec. 9—The Winery at La Grange, in Haymarket, is having an indoor Holiday Market from 12-6 pm. Do some gift shopping, take photos with Santa and show some love to dogs looking for their furever homes courtesy of Humane Society of Fairfax County. Kid- and pet-friendly event!
Jun 2019 — The first check was sent to the Lyme Disease Association, Inc. Thank you to those who have supported the cause by purchasing these soaps. For every “Lyme Bytes” bar purchased I donate $3 to the Lyme Disease Association, Inc. More batches will be made. (NOTE: The organization no longer exists; I am looking for another Lyme nonprofit.)
May 2019 — May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month. The number of diagnosed cases is alarmingly on the rise for this incredibly misunderstood and complex disease. I know because I was diagnosed with late-stage Lyme earlier this year after begging for tests to determine why I felt so crappy for two years. So I decided to create the “Lyme Bytes” soap bars to raise awareness and to raise some funds to help with education and advocacy; Simplí will donate $3 of every “Lyme Bytes” bars sold to the Lyme Disease Association. More batches will be made.
Apr 2019 — Another check was sent to Officer Down Memorial Page. Our donation is from the sale of the 4th batch of “Blue Line” series bars. Thank you to those who have supported the cause by purchasing these soaps. For every “Blue Line” bar purchased I donate $3 to ODMP. More batches will be made in the coming weeks. Sep 2017 — Simplí has secured a vendor spot for Barktoberfest on Sept. 23, 2017 just outside of Leesburg, VA, at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds. This annual event is sponsored by the non-profit, no-kill shelter Friends of Homeless Animals; funds raised helps their rescue efforts and the care and placement of abandoned, abused and rescued dogs and cats to find their forever homes.
I will be “unleashing” a few batches of dog soap bars at this event. For those of you in the NOVA area, it’s a great event, with live music, food trucks, vendors, kids’ activities and Virginia craft beer and wine for sale in a beautiful outdoor venue.

Sep 2016 — A writer for Haymarket Lifestyle magazine heard about Simplí! Check out pages 28 and 30. Mentions how Simplí uses spent grains in beer soap (on p. 30) and the impact of beer, wine and distilled spirits on Virginia agriculture. Yay! [NOTE: It’s still newsworthy, but unfortunately the magazine is no longer being published]
